The Mongol warriors, known as Kheshig, have been revered in history for their ability to win battles against enemies that outnumbered them by the hundreds or even thousands. A combination of training, tactics, discipline, intelligence and an ability to constantly adapt to new tactics, gave the Mongol army its savage edge against the slower, heavier armies of the time. The Mongols lost very few battles, and they usually returned to fight again another day, winning time and time again.
